If you are a fan of meet-cutes and sass and people being sort of creepy but in a cute way, then this book is for you.

This book is centered around Lincoln who works in the IT department of a newspaper during the year 1999. His job is to read people's emails and send them warnings if they talk about anything that caused them to get flagged. He keeps letting two friends -- Beth and Jennifer -- slide on their emails. He gets to the point that he's even falling in love while reading these emails. What's Lincoln to do?

During this turn of the century book that was written after the turn of the century shows the early days of email and the witty banter between friends that shows the ups and downs of life as the year 2000 was rolling in. I really enjoyed this book due to how it was written and how catchy the story was. It was so easy to want to listen to it for hours (because I apparently only do audiobooks now) and didn't want to have to stop it. I was sucked in by their tales and how Lincoln reacted to them. Lincoln was a character that was so easy to like and relate to in his inability to get over his high school-turned-college sweetheart who broke his heart.

This is also the book that began my marathon of listening to Rainbow Rowell's books, as well. I ended up buying them all (except Fangirl and Eleanor & Park -- I have other copies of them) on Audible.

If you love adult contemporary style books, then I suggest you check this one out.

If you've read it, then comment your thoughts below! I'd love to discuss this wonderful book with you!
