Let me begin by saying this: This movie is wonderful in every single way. (Especially in the way of Noah Centineo.)

The movie is about a boy named Brooks who is trying to figure out how he is going to pay for his way to go to Yale instead of UConn. Brooks in-lists the help of his best friend Murph in creating an app where he is the "stand-in" on dates. He is a date for hire who becomes whatever the person is looking for. The person puts their requirements into the app, and Brooks becomes that person. This idea came from when a classmate of his was complaining about having to escort his cousin to a dance at her prep school. Brooks steps in and offers to go in his place.

Throughout the movie, you see Brooks change and start to think harder about his goals. He starts to realize that maybe everything he thought he wanted wasn't exactly what he wanted. With the help of Murph and an unsuspected new friend, Brooks realizes what he really wants out of his life.

I want to add in here that Laura Maurano was a STAR in this film playing Celia who always had something to say that was always extremely witty. Celia is my favorite character in the whole movie. She is literally everything I aspire to be in regards to my witty comebacks (which are like zero).

I really like this movie because it shows what it's like to be a highschooler being told that you have to have everything figured out. When, in all actuality, you don't. This movie shows you how to find the things that are the most important to you and to hold those close.
