TV Show Review: Young & Hungry

I really stumbled across this show as one that I'd heard a lot about and remembered airing live, but I still hadn't ever just watched it (the same thing happened to me with Friends, folks). I had just finished the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and needed a show, and I landed on this hidden gem.
This series focuses primarily around Gabi, Yolanda, Elliot, Josh, and Sophia. The premise is that Gabi auditions to be the chef for a young billionaire, Josh, and she lands the gig. Gabi and Josh then begin the roller-coaster that is their relationship -- from friends to more than friends to whatever it is. They're accompanied along the way by Gabi's best friend and roommate, Sophia (or as I like to call her, Lil' So-So), and Josh's hired hands -- Elliot and Yolanda.
The characters in this show are great and always have me laughing or crying or both. Don't even get me started on my favorite guest stars that were on the show. (Jesse McCartney will ALWAYS be a beautiful soul to me.) There is a bit of predictability but then there are some things that are too crazy for anyone besides the writers to have dreamed up.
This show is one that I'd recommend to anyone who loves a good laugh and the sit-com scene. The thirty minute episodes make them easy to squeeze in here and there to get through this series quick -- and at times quicker than you'd like.
Overall, I rate this show fairly high on the list of shows I've enjoyed probably way too much in my life. This show was a pleasant surprise and one that I'm so glad I stumbled across.
